GRANT R. GISEL was appointed President and CEO of Sierra Systems Group,
Inc. in 1973. He leads Sierra Systems' strategic development, expanding
and strengthening the company's presence in the North American
marketplace. When he began with the company in 1968, Mr. Gisel was
responsible for managing many of the company's largest projects. He was
appointed Vice President in 1969, and his focus evolved to building the
company into the newly developing markets of the United States and
Canada. Mr. Gisel, a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a
Bachelor of Commerce degree (1964), began his IT career with IBM Canada.
Under his leadership, Sierra Systems transitioned to a public company in
1998. He currently is a Director of the Information Technology
Association of Canada, a Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade, a
Director of the Business Council of British Columbia, and a Corporate
Member of the Technical Industries Association of British Columbia. Mr.
Gisel supports and has participated in various fundraising activities
for the United Way, Simon Fraser University, Science World British
Columbia and the University of British Columbia. Profile
