Gordon Riske – Deutz Ag (xetra: Dezg.de)

Gordon Riske has been Chairman of the Management Board at DEUTZ AG since 2000. Mr Riske was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1957 and graduated from Lawrence Institute of Technology, Michigan, with a degree in electrical engineering in 1981. He received his bachelors degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Oekreal School of Business, Zurich, in 1998, and an MBA from GSBA, Zurich, in 2001. From 1977-1982, Mr Riske was an electrical engineer at DeVlieg Machine Company, Royal Oak, Michigan. He then spent nine years, from 1982-1992, with KUKA Welding Systems + Robot Corporation, again in Michigan, where he was Vice President of the Robotic Systems Division. From 1991-1994, Mr Riske was Divisional Manager of Robots and Control Technology at KUKA Schweissanlagen & Roboter GmbH, Augsburg, where he was named a Member of the Board from 1994-1996. TWST: Can we begin with a quick description of DEUTZs competitive environment and how you are positioned within this picture?

Mr. Riske: The competition is mainly from the large captive
