GERT REINHARDT is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of SER Systeme
AG. He laid the foundation of SER Systeme AG in 1984 when he started
Reinhardt GmbH. Today, it is called SER Software Engineering GmbH and
is part of the SER Group. Reinhardt GmbH developed an asset management
software solution called VIP (today called V3) for capital investment
companies, which is now an established market leader. In 1986,
Reinhardt started development of the ITA electronic archiving system
(InTelligent Access), which very quickly was further developed into a
comprehensive document management solution. Mr. Reinhardt earned his
master's degree in computer sciences at the University of Dortmund.
Following this, he served as a system planner and project director at a
savings bank in Munich and then as Director of Industrial Engineering
for a metallurgical engineering project in Saudi Arabia. In 1982, he
began working as an independent business consultant. In this capacity,
among other IT-projects, he was involved in the realisation of large
databank network solutions for the banking industry. In July 1997, as
CEO of SER Systeme AG, Reinhardt successfully managed the IPO of the
company on the Neuer Markt, Frankfurt. Since then, he has driven SER's
national and international expansion, growing the business and making
SER Europe a leader in document and knowledge management software and
