Gerald Salontai – Kleinfinder Inc

GERALD J. SALONTAI, President and CEO of Kleinfelder, Inc., has spent most of the past 20 years in management positions for Kleinfelder, rising through the ranks from a regional office manager to division manager. Mr. Salontai has served on the Board of Directors for more than eight years. He was appointed President of the firm in 1997 and CEO in 1998. As the senior corporate officer, Mr. Salontai provides overall management direction to Kleinfelder, Inc., TETCO/Kleinfelder, Spectrum Exploration (Kleinfelder's drilling division), and other key corporate functions. Under Mr. Salontai's leadership, Kleinfelder has grown from a $65 million company with 35 offices and 750 employees to a $140 million company with more than 57 offices and testing laboratories and 1,400 employees. Kleinfelder is now a dominant force in the western United States and a significant player nationally. Mr. Salontai has more than 25 years of experience managing projects for clients in both the public and private sectors. In addition to his executive role, he often serves as corporate sponsor and provides senior review on selected engineering projects. Typical projects include those in the water and transportation infrastructure markets, including pipelines, water and wastewater treatment facilities, highways and roadways, airfields, and transit projects.
