Gary M. Mulloy – Advo Inc (ad)

GARY M. MULLOY is President and Chief Executive Officer of ADVO, Inc., the nation's largest full-service direct mail marketing company, headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut. The company's annual revenue is approximately $1 billion and its common stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Mr. Mulloy also serves on the company's Board of Directors. Mr. Mulloy joined ADVO in November 1996, bringing to the company nearly twenty-five years of management experience, as well as sales and marketing expertise. As President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Mulloy was instrumental in steering ADVO toward its strategic targeting vision. He also played a key role in remargining the business and further increasing the company's profitability. Before joining ADVO, Mr. Mulloy served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Sunnyvale, California-based Pilkington Barnes-Hind, Inc. (1991-1996), a division of Pilkington Vision Care. During his tenure, Mr. Mulloy is credited with significantly increasing the company's revenues and profitability. Mr. Mulloy was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Maybelline cosmetics company, previously a unit of Schering-Plough Corporation, until 1991. He also held a range of senior executive management and marketing positions at Schering-Plough and its Maybelline unit during his fifteen years with the firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Mulloy held marketing and management positions with the Gillette Company and the Burger King Corporation.
