GARRY L. CARTER is President and CEO of SURx, Inc. He started SURx in
1997, and has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device
industry. Prior to starting with the company he served as Vice President
of Health care for Furon Company. He was employed from 1977 to 1994 by
the Surgitek and ConvaTec subsidiaries of Bristol-Myers Squibb. During
Mr. Carter's tenure at Surgitek, company sales increased from $3 million
to $60 million with approximately half of the business addressing the
urology market. At Surgitek, he held several positions including General
Manager, Vice President of Scientific Affairs, and Vice President of
Business Development. Mr. Carter holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering
from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from Marquette University.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer and the holder of 15 US patents
