G. WILLIAM EVANS is Executive Vice-President-Chief Financial Officer for
LandAmerica Financial Group, Inc., headquartered in Richmond, Virginia.
LandAmerica is the holding company for Commonwealth Land Title Insurance
Company, Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation and Transnation Title
Insurance Company. Mr. Evans served two years as Executive Vice-
President-Information Technology for LandAmerica and was previously the
Chief Financial Officer for Lawyers Title. He has 24 years of experience
in a variety of financial positions with Lawyers Title and its West
Coast subsidiary, Continental Lawyers Title Company, in Los Angeles. A
native of Ohio, Mr. Evans graduated from Concord College, in Athens,
West Virginia, where he received a BS degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Evans is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the Association for Corporate Growth, the Financial
Executives Institute, the Virginia Society of Certified Public
Accountants and the Worldwide Executive Council. He serves on the Boards
of the Association for Corporate Growth, Greater Richmond Chamber
