G. DAN POAG is Chief Executive Officer of Poag & McEwen Lifestyle
Centers. In this role, Poag oversees the company's long term strategic
direction and insures achievement of financial objectives. With more
than 35 years of experience in real estate development, finance, and
property management, Poag founded the company in 1984. During the 1970s
and 80s, Poag purchased, syndicated, and developed single and multi-
family residential, office, and retail properties in Memphis. Prior to
his formation of Poag & McEwen, Poag partnered in the development of
Kroger and K-Mart anchored shopping centers throughout the Southeastern
United States. Poag is a member of and has leadership positions with a
number of community and religious organizations. He also serves on the
Board of Directors of both the Memphis Symphony and Opera Memphis. Poag
earned his bachelor's degree from Princeton University and his MBA from
