European Telecommunications : Ben Mcclure – Old Mutual Securities

BEN MCCLURE is telecoms analyst at London-based Old Mutual Securities, where he is responsible for identifying investment opportunities available among small- to medium-cap publicly listed UK telecom companies. His research coverage list includes Kingston Communications, Thus, Fibernet, Atlantic Telecom, Easynet and Redstone Telecom. Ben also works closely with Old Mutual's corporate finance team, evaluating telecom business cases and competitive strategies. Before Old Mutual, Ben worked as Business Editor at the Economist Newspaper Group in London. He analysed and commented on news, developments and strategy in the European telecom and Internet sectors, gaining a unique overview of network-driven convergence trends. Later, he worked as Editor of Telecommunications International magazine. Ben was born and raised in Canada.
