MICHAEL MURPHY joined Schroders Securities in 1997 having been with SBC
Warburg for over 11 years. He was responsible at Warburgs for the
Support Services sector where he was ranked number one in the major
surveys between 1991 and 1995, before the inclusion of the IT stocks. He
was also responsible for the Diversified Industrials sector, which was
ranked in the top three for a number of years, and he has also
researched Printing, Paper, Packaging and Advertising Agencies. Prior
to Warburgs he was an analyst at Quilter Goodison and he started his
City career as a fund manager at Royal London Mutual following his
