EMILE A. BATTAT has been a Director of Atrion Corporation since 1987,
served as Chairman since January 1998, and was appointed Chairman and
CEO in October 1998. He has had over 30 years of management experience
in strategic planning, diversification, divestitures, and international
sales. He served for 15 years as President and CEO of a privately held
international trading organization whose sales reached over $1 billion
during that period. Mr. Battat holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master
of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute
of Technology, and a Master's degree in Business Administration from
