ELIAS VAMVAKAS is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TLC
Vision Corporation. He received his Honors B.Sc. from the
University of Toronto in 1980. With his post graduate work in
Finance and Investment Management, he received his Chartered
Financial Consultant designation in 1989. Mr. Vamvakas, together
with Dr. Jeffery J. Machat, co-founded TLC Vision Corporation.
Prior to co-founding TLC in 1993, Mr. Vamvakas was the President
of the Creative Planning Financial Group of Companies. Mr.
Vamvakas has been named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year
for Ontario and National Entrepreneur of the Year in the Emerging
Category. He is a member of Young Presidents' Organization (YPO)
and a member of 'Who's Who' among American Business Executives. Profile
