Douglas Spreng – Mmc Networks Inc (mmcn)

DOUGLAS C. SPRENG is President and CEO of MMC Networks, Inc. Mr. Spreng joined MMC Networks from 3Com Corporation where he was most recently an Executive Vice President. Of his more than 30 years of industry experience, the last seven were spent leading the growth of 3Com's Client Access Business Unit, from $200 million to $2.8 billion in revenue. In his tenure at 3Com, he also directed the creation of the Company's Fast Ethernet program, personally led 3Com's winning efforts to build relationships with major personal computer OEMs, and developed a major strategic relationships with Microsoft, amongst many other accomplishments. Mr. Spreng started his career with Hewlett Packard Company, where he held various marketing, manufacturing and general management positions for more than 23 years. In the early 1990s, he was president and chief operating officer of CellNet Data Systems, a communications system company. He holds a BSEE degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Profile
