Douglas Ludwig – Four Seasons Hotels Inc (fs)

DOUGLAS LUDWIG was appointed Executive Vice President of Four Seasons Hotels in 1996. He is responsible for all international financial planning, auditing, tax structuring and treasury activities for Four Seasons Hotels. Mr. Ludwig also presides as the company Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer and is a member of the management committee. In 1987, he was promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance and Treasurer, and joined the management committee of the company. He was made Treasurer of the company in 1986. In 1985, Mr. Ludwig was promoted to Vice President, Corporate Controller and Assistant Treasurer. Mr. Ludwig joined Four Seasons in 1984 as Assistant Corporate Controller after a seven-year career with Peat Marwick, where he was a Senior Manager in the Toronto office with audit responsibilities for a few major international clients. While with Peat Marwick, Mr. Ludwig was also responsible for the administration and staffing relating to one of the major audit groups in the Toronto office. A Chartered Accountant since 1980, Mr. Ludwig is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and an HBA graduate in business administration from the University of Western Ontario.
