DOUGLAS R. JONES joined World Acceptance Corporation in August 1999 as
its President and Chief Operating Officer. He was elected to the Board
of Directors in May 2001, and was promoted to his current position of
President and Chief Executive Officer in August 2003. Prior to joining
World Acceptance Corporation Mr. Jones held various management positions
with Associates Financial Services over a career that spanned 22 years.
Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Air Force. He currently serves on the
Independents Section Advisory Board for the American Financial Services
Association and is a member of its State Government Relations Liaison
Committee which meets semi-annually with the National Association of
Consumer Credit Administrators (NACCA). He also serves on the Board of
Directors for the National Institute of Consumer Credit Managers (NICCM0
