Donald Vanluvanee – Electro Scientific Industries Inc (esio)

DONALD R. VANLUVANEE is President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Electro Scientific Industries. Mr. VanLuvanee joined the company in July 1992 as President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director. From July 1991 to July 1992, Mr. VanLuvanee was President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director at Mechanical Technology Incorporated, a supplier of contract research and development services and a manufacturer of technologically advanced equipment. From 1990 to 1991, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of BCT Spectrum, Inc., a supplier of vacuum deposition systems. From 1984 to 1990, he was President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of Kulicke and Soffa Industries, Inc., a supplier of capital equipment and consumables to the microelectronics industry. Mr. VanLuvanee is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the American Management Association, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Inc. In addition, he is a member of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute School of Science Advisory Board, Trustee of the Oregon Graduate Institute, an Executive Committee member and former Chair of the Oregon Chapter of the American Electronics Association, member of the Oregon University System Engineering and Technology Industry Council, a Director of the Oregon Business Council and the chair of the Oregon State Board of Higher Education. Also, Mr. VanLuvanee was on the Governor's Task Force on Higher Education and the Economy and was a founding director of the Philadelphia Technology Council. In addition to serving on these non-profit boards, Mr. VanLuvanee is also on the boards of NASDAQ traded companies: FEI Company (FEIC) of Hillsboro, Oregon, and Micro Component Technology (MCTI) of Minneapolis and is an At-Large Board Member of the AEA National Board.
