Donald Smith – Avalon Correctional Services Inc (city)

DONALD E. SMITH, Founder of Avalon Correctional Services, Inc., has served as Chief Executive Officer since 1984. Previously, he was a manager with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Oklahoma City and Denver, Colorado. He has 20 years of diversified experience in developing and managing service-based public and private companies. Mr. Smith is responsible for the overall operations of Avalon Correctional Services, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Mr. Smith analyzes and structures all acquisition and proposal packages and oversees employee functions. His broad-based business knowledge includes contract negotiation, strategic planning, risk assessment, financial analysis and performance review, project management, merger and acquisition work, and policy and procedure development. Mr. Smith has owned, managed and developed a number of private corporations since 1985 to provide private corrections, health care, and other related services.
