DONALD D. OLINGER currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer at MeriStar Hospitality Corporation, the nation's
third largest hotel real estate investment trust (REIT). In his current
role, Mr. Olinger oversees MeriStar's Capital Market and investor
relations activities, as well as its accounting, tax and human resource
functions. Prior to his appointment at MeriStar Hospitality Corporation,
Mr. Olinger served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller for
Host Marriott Corporation. Mr. Olinger created the accounting and
systems operations at Host Marriott and during his tenure with the
company, he held increasingly important positions and played a major
role in the company's growth and financing transactions. Previously, he
was with the accounting form Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Olinger holds a
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Virginia and is a
Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the Board of Directors
and chairs the Financial Accounting Standards Committee of the National
Association of Real Estate Companies and was formerly a member of the
board of directors of the District of Columbia Chapter of Financial
Executives International. He has served on the Best Financial Practices
Council for the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts
