DONALD E. BROWN, MD, is Chairman of the Board, President and CEO of
Interactive Intelligence, Inc. He founded his third software company,
Interactive Intelligence, in October 1994. Previously, Dr. Brown had
founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of Software Artistry,
Inc., a developer of customer support software that became a public
company in 1995 and was subsequently acquired by IBM in 1998. Dr.
Brown's first software company was acquired by Electronic Data Systems
in 1987. Dr. Brown graduated from the Indiana University School of
Medicine in 1985. He holds two additional degrees from Indiana
University, an MS in Computer Science and a BS in Physics. Dr. Brown is
also Founder and Chairman of the Board of Interactive Portal, a new
application service provider (ASP) offering unified messaging and other
enhanced communications services on a subscription basis to businesses
