David Thompson – Datamarine International, Inc. (dmar)

DAVID C. THOMPSON has been Chief Executive Officer of SEA, Inc., since 1980 and since 1997 also President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the company's parent, Datamarine International, Inc. Mr. Thompson graduated from Lehigh University in 1951. He served as an Officer in the US Navy during the period 1951 to 1955. He received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1957. Mr. Thompson worked at Ampex Corporation from 1957 to 1962. In 1962 he was co-Founder of Machtronics, a company which designed and built the first portable videotape recorder. In 1965, Mr. Thompson joined Raytheon Company as marketing manager for their land communications product line, which included their SBE line of radio products. In 1968, Mr. Thompson purchased the SBE product line from Raytheon. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of SBE, Inc., from 1968 until 1978. Profile
