DAVID SIKORA is President and Chief Executive Officer of Pervasive
Software Inc. A seasoned leader with a strong track record in the
software marketplace, Mr. Sikora became President and CEO of Pervasive
Software in 2002. Pervasive reported year-over-year increases in both
revenues and profits during every quarter of fiscal year 2003 and
delivered the company's first year of revenue growth since fiscal year
1999. Before joining Pervasive, he served as Chairman and CEO of several
leading software companies, including Powered, Inc., Question
Technologies and Ventix Systems. In addition, Mr. Sikora served as
President and CEO of Houston-based ForeFront Group, Inc., a leading
provider of e-learning solutions for information technology
professionals. During his six years at ForeFront, he led the company
through an initial public offering in 1995, four acquisitions,
international expansion, and a successful merger with SmartForce in May
1998. Mr. Sikora currently serves on the Board of Directors of three
Texas-based software companies: Motive Communications, Powered and Troux
Technologies. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology from
the University of Houston and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of
Business Administration. He is a past President and Director of Harvard
Business School Alumni Association and is active in numerous other civic
and arts organizations in Texas. He was selected as a winner of the E-
Commerce Ten Award by the Texas Electronic Commerce Association eComm)
for his leadership and contribution to the development of e-commerce in
Texas and, in 1998, was named Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year
