DAVID M. GOLDENBERG founded Immunomedics, Inc. in July 1982, and since
that time has been Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of
the company. Dr. Goldenberg was Professor of Pathology at the university
of Kentucky Medical Center from 1973 until 1983 and Director of the
university's Division of Experimental Pathology from 1976 until 1983.
From 1975 to 1980, he also served as Executive Director of the Ephraim
McDowell Community Cancer Network, Inc., and from 1978 to 1980 he was
President of the Ephraim McDowell Cancer Research Foundation, Inc., both
in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Goldenberg is a graduate of the University
of Chicago College and Division of Biological Sciences (SB), the
University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany) Faculty of Natural Sciences
(ScD), and the University of Heidelberg (Germany) School of Medicine
(MD). In addition to his position with the company, Dr. Goldenberg is
President of the Garden State Cancer Center at the Center of Molecular
Medicine and Immunology, an independent nonprofit research center, and
holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Microbiology and Immunology
at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York. At the Garden State
Cancer Center, Dr. Goldenberg directs the basic and clinical research
programs. Dr. Goldenberg received a Silver Medallion and Certificate
from the German fund for Cancer Research in Bonn in 1979, an Outstanding
Investigator Award grant from the National Cancer Institute in 1985 and
1992, and the New Jersey Pride Award in Science and Technology in 1986.
Dr. Goldenberg was honored as the ninth Otto Herz Lecturer of Tel Aviv
University Faculty of Life Sciences. In addition, Dr. Goldenberg
received the 1991 3M Mayneord Memorial Award and Lectureship of the
British Institute of Radiology for his contributions to the development
of radiolabeled antibodies used in the imaging and treatment of cancer.
Recently, Dr. Goldenberg was the recipient of the 1994 Abbott Award,
sponsored by the International Society of Oncodevelopmental Biology and
Medicine, and the 1994 Sarabhai Memorial Oration Award, sponsored by the
Society of Nuclear Medicine, India. Dr. Goldenberg is also the recipient
