DAVID DANSON is the Chief Executive Officer of UA Group Plc. He
graduated in veterinary medicine and has spent most of his career in the
veterinary pharmaceutical industry, initially in research and
development and clinical trials and subsequently in marketing before
moving into general management. He was Director - Global Marketing for
the Veterinary Division of Mallinckrodt Inc and before joining UA Group
Plc as CEO in 1998 he was Director General of the Swiss based veterinary
pharmaceutical company, Biokema SA. He has lectured on marketing
planning at a major UK business school and in addition to his position
at UA, he was recently appointed to the board of Moredun Scientific Ltd,
a leading contract biological research company, as a non-executive
Director. Outside office hours he is a keen scuba diver and sailor. He
enjoys fine wines, travel and as well as being a keen opera fan, he
sings regularly as a principal baritone with a number of semi-
