DANIEL VALOT is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TECHNIP.
Prior to this, he was President of TOTAL Exploration and Production, and
Member of the TOTAL Group Executive Committee from 1995-1999. From
1992-1995, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TOTAL
Petroleum North America, Denver, Colorado and Vice-President, Strategic
Planning Division, TOTAL Group, Paris. Mr Valot graduated from the
Institute of Political Science, Paris (1967) and the National
Administration School, Paris (1970). He is married and has three
children. Mr Valot holds the Chevalier de la Lgion d'Honneur and the
