CYRUS D. IRANI was appointed President of Vertel Corporation in May 2000
and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board in July 2000. Mr.
Irani held the position of Vice President, Research and Development and
pProfessional Services Unit for the company from December 1999 until May
2000. Previously, he served as Vice President, Professional Services
Unit and as Vice President of Marketing. Prior to joining Vertel, Mr.
Irani served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for the Alchemy
Group, a network management software company. He was Product Line
Manager for AT&T Global Information Systems, a telecommunications
service provider, from March 1993 to August 1994. From December 1989 to
March 1993 he served as Director of Product Marketing for Vertel. Prior
to that Mr. Irani held the position of R&D manager for the Workstation
and Server Business at Xerox Corporation. Mr. Irani holds two degrees: a
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Occidental College in Eagle
Rock, California, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Sciences
from California State University at Dominguez Hills. Profile
