GARY P. JACOBI is a Director at Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown and is
currently a Senior Analyst following the wireline sevices sector in the
broad telecommunications sector. He was responsible for the firm's high-
yield research in the same sector for two years. Prior to joining
Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown, Mr. Jacobi covered high-yield telecom at
Bear, Stearns, and before that he was a buy-side telecom analyst at
Oppenheimer Funds. Mr. Jacobi came to Wall Street after spending
approximately 15 years in the former Bell System, during which he held a
number of positions eventually leading to strategic planning. In this
capacity, he worked on such initiatives as broadband networks, wireless
video and PCS initiatives. Mr. Jacobi has a BA in Economics, and a BS in
Management and Finance from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Additionally, he has an MS in Finance from Baruch College, and is a
member of the faculty at New York University's School of Continuing
