CLIFF A. SHARPLES is CEO, President and co-Founder of Garden.com, Inc.
As President, CEO and Co-Founder of Garden.com (formerly Garden Escape,
Inc.), Mr. Sharples has guided the development of today's leading
gardening Internet retailer, forging new ground in the continued
evolution of electronic commerce. His accomplishments have been
recognized by the White House, where he was invited to represent
Internet retailers for the President's briefing on electronic commerce
policy. Mr. Sharples also serves as founding Chairman of shop.org, an
alliance for premier Internet retailers, and is a frequent speaker on
electronic commerce. Prior to co-founding Garden Escape, he served as
Director of Business Development for pcOrder.com, Inc., a spin-off of
Trilogy Development Group. Mr. Sharples has spent 11 years in
information technology and management, including positions with
Enterprise Integration Technologies (EIT), Coopers & Lybrand Consulting
Technology Advisory Services, and as a founding member of Practical
Productions, Inc. Mr. Sharples holds his Masters in Management from the
J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BS in Information
