CHRISTOPHER MAUS is Chairman of the Board, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Lifestream Technologies, which he founded in
1994. Mr. Maus has been recognized internationally for his
revolutionary approach to using smart card technology and the
Internet to improve consumer-based health care. Under his
leadership, the company has been touted as one of the top growth
companies in the world, according to The Investment Reporter.
Lifestream Technologies developed an 'at-home' cholesterol
testing device, which was FDA cleared for over-the-counter sales.
Lifestream is the first company to use smart cards in a home
appliance of this kind. The Lifestream Personal Cholesterol
Monitor allows consumers to test their cholesterol levels
quickly, accurately and inexpensively between regular doctor
visits; download results to a smart card; and send those results
directly to their doctor and pharmacist over the Internet.
Microsoft recently embraced Lifestream for pioneering one of the
newest advancements in the applications of Microsoft Windows for
smart cards. Mr. Maus shared a panel of speakers with Microsoft
CEO Steve Ballmer in addressing more than 400 firms at the Smart
Card 2000 conference held at the Microsoft Conference Center.
Before founding Lifestream, he crafted a successful niche in the
medical industry as a leader in manufacturing and international
sales. Mr. Maus founded Solaire Cosmetic Device Company and in 18
months grew that company to $12 million in sales. He served on
the Board of Directors for one of the fastest growing privately
held companies in the US ' Performance Coatings, Inc., an Inc.
500 company. Profile
