Christopher Baker – Zone Perfect Nutrition Company

CHRISTOPHER P. BAKER is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of ZonePerfect Nutrition Company, a Boston-based nutrition company that creates and distributes nutritious food with a 40/30/30 ratio of carbohydrate, protein, and dietary fat. With more than 20 years' merchant banking experience, Mr. Baker has turned ZonePerfect Nutrition into a profitable and thriving company. Mr. Baker began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in New York where he served as manager of firm-wide retail sales for the Options Department. During his tenure, he increased sales of the firm's option product by 300%. After leaving Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Mr. Baker held various senior level administrative and sales positions at other investment banks including Goldman Sachs, C.L. Glaser & Co., Glenhaven Partners, Mosley Hallgarten and Prudential. At Prudential, he was one of the top 50 sales representatives in the country. Mr. Baker left Prudential in 1990, and founded C.P. Baker & Company, a merchant bank, investment advisory firm and sole owner of C.P. Baker Securities, Inc., a registered broker- dealer. Mr. Baker serves as company President. In 1996, C.P. Baker & Company stepped in to help run a fledgling company called Eicotech, an investment of one of their private equity funds. Under his leadership, Eicotech became ZonePerfect Nutrition and developed a nutrition plan now followed by hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. ZonePerfect can now be found in major retail outlets across the country and recently was ranked number 307 on the 2002 Inc Magazine 500 list of fastest growing private companies.
