CHRIS L. NGUYEN is the President and CEO of Caliber Learning Network,
Inc., an affiliate of Sylvan Learning Systems, Inc. Caliber is a distance
learning company founded in 1996 as a joint initiative between Sylvan and
MCI Communications. Prior to joining Caliber, Mr. Nguyen spent nine years
in various senior roles within Sylvan Learning Systems. His last
responsibility within Sylvan was to create the operational infrastructure
of Sylvan Prometric, the computerized testing division of Sylvan Learning
Systems. At Sylvan Prometric, Mr. Nguyen was responsible for creating and
deploying a network of over 1,300 computerized testing centers throughout
the world. High stakes examinations such as the GRE and GMAT tests are
delivered within these testing centers. Previous to Sylvan, Mr. Nguyen
held technical positions within the Centers for Disease Control, General
Instruments, and LifeCard International. Mr. Nguyen was educated at Johns
Hopkins University, is married with two children, and resides with his
family in Baltimore, Maryland. Profile
