CHARLES R. TONGE is Executive Vice President of Community
Banking, Harris Bank. Mr. Tonge has served in this position since
1994 and is responsible for Harris Bankcorp's community banking
and the network delivery of financial services to small
businesses and individuals. Prior to his most recent position, he
was President of Harris Bank Barrington. He began his banking
career in 1969 at Continental Bank and in 1971 moved to the first
National Bank of Barrington. In 1984 Mr. Tonge was named
President of the community bank that eventually was acquired by
Harris Bankcorp in 1985. Mr. Tonge is a member of the Board of
Directors of Harris Bank Barrington, Winnetka, Naperville and
Joliet. He received a Bachelor's degree in Economics from North
Park College of Chicago in 1968. Profile
