Canadian Biotechnology & Patent Applications: Edwin Gale – Ficpi Canada

EDWIN J. GALE is the President of FICPI Canada and Managing Partner at Kirby Eades Gale Baker, Patent and Trade Mark Agents. His area of practice is in preparation and prosecution of patents and registration of trademarks, industrial designs, and copyrights, with a focus on chemical, biotechnology, and mechanical subject matter. He also provides litigation support. Mr. Gale is a registered Canadian Patent Agent, registered Canadian Trade Mark Agent, registered U.S. Patent Agent, chartered Patent Agent, and Great Britain Registered European Patent Attorney. He is a Fellow at the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada (IPIC), and a member of the Licensing Executive Society (USA and Canada), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI), and of the Chemical Institute of Canada (MCIC). He was awarded the J. Edward Maybee prize by the Patent and Trade Mark Institute of Canada for achieving the highest marks on the Patent Agents examination. He also received an award for the highest marks in the Trade Mark Agents examination. He obtained both his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Master of Arts in Chemistry from Oxford University.
