BRADLEY LARSON – MEADOW VALLEY CORPORATION (MVCO)

BRADLEY E. LARSON joined Meadow Valley Corporation as its Chief Operating Officer approximately one year prior to the company's IPO in October 1995. He was elected President and Chief Executive Officer in November 1995. An Engineer by education, Mr. Larson has been engaged in the construction or construction materials industries since his youth. After obtaining his Industrial Engineering degree at Arizona State University, Mr. Larson joined one of Arizona's largest and most successful highway contractors and materials producers ' Tanner Companies. During his nearly 20 year tenure with Tanner, the company changed hands twice ' first, with Ashland, Inc.'s construction subsidiary, APAC ' the country's largest asphalt paving contractor ' and again with Kiewit & Sons', Inc., the country's largest heavy contractor. This gave Mr. Larson valuable exposure to operating tendencies of very large and successful contracting and materials companies. Having observed the synergies of the contracting and materials businesses, Meadow Valley created its own construction materials company, Ready Mix, Inc. (RMI) in 1996. RMI has now grown to annual materials revenue of almost $50 million to go along with annual contracting revenue of approximately $100 million. Mr. Larson has been an active leader within the construction industry, having served on a number of Boards of industry associations. Profile
