Brad Smith – Heritage Commerce Corporation

BRAD L. SMITH is Chief Executive Officer of Heritage Commerce Corp, a bank holding company with one subsidiary bank, Heritage Bank of Commerce in San Jose, California. He is a financial executive with experience in nearly every aspect of the banking industry. Prior to joining Heritage in 1999 as Chairman of the Board, Mr. Smith held a variety of leadership roles at Crocker National, Bank of the West, Pacific Valley Bank and South Valley National Bank. Mr. Smith is an active member in community and business organizations. He spent 18 years as a Board member of local community hospitals, nine years as Chairman of Good Samaritan Healthcare System, a multi-hospital holding company consisting of four hospitals and several other healthcare divisions. Good Samaritan Healthcare System was acquired by Columbia during his final year as Chairman. Following the purchase, Mr. Smith served as a founding Board member of The Health Trust, a nonprofit public benefit corporation that provides funding for healthcare services and community health programs, primarily in Santa Clara County.
