BOB ELLIS joined Genometrix Inc. as president in July 1998. Prior to
joining Genometrix, Mr. Ellis was with Perkin Elmer/Applied Biosystems
Division (ABI), where he rose from product manager to president and
general manager of ABI Japan. After growing ABI Japan revenues four-
fold, Mr. Ellis was promoted to business unit manager for worldwide
Applied Markets and Nucleic Acids. Prior to his tenure with ABI, Mr.
Ellis served as a section manager at Hewlett-Packard, where he led
