ARUN BELLARY is Chairman and CEO of Metro-Optix. During the past 18
years, Mr. Bellary has been a pioneer within the telecommunications
industry. His technical expertise spans across transport, metro, and
access network infrastructures. Prior to founding Meto-Optix, Mr.
Bellary served as Vice President and General Manager of Ericsson's
broadband access products business. He also has held senior management
positions within Fujitsu's SONET ADM group and with the development of
Litespan while at Optilink'the market-leading digital loop carrier. At
Pirelli Systems (recently acquired by Cisco), Mr. Bellary led a team
that developed and deployed the world's first DWDM solution. Early in
his career, Mr. Bellary was a top performer at Bell Labs and chaired
various working groups within the T1 standards body. He received his
Master's in Science degree in Computer Science and Telecom Engineering
from Southern Methodist University and completed graduate work at
