Alan B. Gilman – Consolidated Products Inc (cop)

ALAN B. GILMAN was associated for 26 years with Federated Department Stores serving as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sanger Harris in Dallas, Texas, and subsequently as Chairman and CEO of Abraham Straus in New York. He then spent five years as President of an international marketing company, and was responsible for introducing Tommy Hilfiger as the company sponsored designer for menswear during that period. After serving as a private investor, he became President of Consolidated Products, Inc. in July of 1992, and Chief Executive Officer in October of 1992. Mr. Gilman has been an active contributing civic member of his communities. He served in Dallas as President of the Dallas Assembly, President of the Dallas Central Business District, and as Chairman of the Tri-Racial Committee. He was as well a Corporate Director of Dallas Power and Light Company, and the Republic National Bank. In New York, Mr. Gilman was President of the Greater New York Fund/United Way, and a Governor of the Brooklyn Museum. Mr. Gilman has served as a Director of the Indiana University Foundation since 1976, currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Board, and has been Chairman of the Graduate School of Business Dean's Advisory Council. He is on the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Advisory Board, and is a member of the Indiana University President's Cabinet. Profile
