Wm. Stacy Locke

WM. STACY LOCKE, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pioneer Drilling
Company, has served as an officer and Director of the company since May 1995. He
has been President and Chief Executive Officer since December 2003 and was
President and Chief Financial Officer from August 2000 to December 2003. He
previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer from November 1998 to
August 2000 and as President and Chief Executive Officer from May 1995 to
November 1998. Prior to joining Pioneer Drilling, Mr. Locke was in investment
banking for eight years and a geologist for seven years. Mr. Locke has a Master
of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University and a
Bachelor of Arts degree in Geology from University of California at Santa
Barbara.
