William Stein, CFA, covers the electronics supply chain stocks for Credit Suisse, including electronics manufacturing services, electronic components, component distributors, and test and measurement companies. He recently expanded his coverage into small- and mid-cap technology stocks, including optical components and video-networking companies. Institutional Investor named him an up and comer in 2007 and a runner-up in the EMS sector in 2008. Greenwich Associates ranked him third in 2008 and first in 2010 in the EMS and components sector. Mr. Stein joined Credit Suisse in 2004 following several years in sales and executive management positions in the electronic components industry. He holds a B.A. in computer science from Brandeis University and an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
