William D. Matthews

WILLIAM D. MATTHEWS is Chairman, CEO and a member of the Board of
Directors of Oneida Ltd. He joined the company in 1969 and after serving
as Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel, was elected Chairman
of the Board and CEO in July, 1986. He is a member of the Board of
Directors of the Business Council of New York State and served two years
as Chairman of the group. He serves as a member of the Northeast
Advisory Council of Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., the Oneida City Hospital
Foundation and the Madison County Industrial Development Agency. He also
is a member of the Boards of Conmed Corporation, the Oneida Savings Bank
and Coyne Textile Services, and previously served as a member of the
Board of Trustees of Wells College and of WCNY Public Broadcasting in
Central New York.
