William Brown

WILLIAM BROWN, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial
Officer of MGI PHARMA, Inc., joined the company in June 1986 as
Controller and since that time has held positions of increasing
responsibility in finance, accounting, business development,
strategic planning and investor relations. He was promoted to his
current position in January 2003. Prior to his 17 years with MGI
PHARMA, he was an Audit Manager at what is now Ernst & Young, an
international public accounting firm. In 1978, Mr. Brown earned a
Bachelor’s degree in Education with majors in Chemistry and
Biology, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration in
1981, both from the University of Minnesota. He received his
Certified Public Accountant certification in 1981 and his
Certificate in Management Accounting in 1982.
