WARREN E. ANDERSON is the President and General Manager of The
Anderson-DuBose Company, a distributor of McDonald’s products to
over 275 restaurants in northeastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania
and West Virginia. He became the owner of the McDonald’s
distribution center in Solon after two years of extensive
training from 1989 to 1991 with similar distributors across the
country. Determination and perseverance paid off, and in November
1991, Warren Anderson and Steve DuBose purchased 51% majority of
The Martin-Brower Company, becoming the first and only minority
distributor in the McDonald’s distribution network. In July 1993,
he was able to buy out his partner and become the sole majority
owner. Business continued to go well, and in March 1995, Mr.
Anderson obtained 100% of the distribution center. Mr. Anderson
became McDonald’s distributor of choice in South Africa in 1995,
thus creating ASP Distributors, Ltd. Currently ASP operates
distribution centers in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Mr. Anderson
graduated from The University of Michigan, School of Literature,
Science and the Arts, majoring in Radio and Television Production
with a Bachelor of General Science degree in 1974. He then
entered The University of Michigan’s School of Communication and
graduated with a Master’s degree in 1976, majoring in Broadcast
Journalism. Beginning his career in 1975, Mr. Anderson held
various positions at radio and television companies in
Washington, DC, Detroit, New York and Hartford. Some of these
positions included Account Executive, National and Local Sales
Manager and lastly, General Sales Manager. He is currently a
Board member of Playhouse Square Foundation, Cuyahoga Community
College Foundation, Leadership Cleveland and The Shoreby Club,
and feels very strongly about being able to give back to the
community. The Anderson-DuBose Company contributes to various
organizations including: United Way, United Black Fund, NAACP,
United Negro College Fund, and the Ronald McDonald House. Mr.
Anderson is a graduate of Leadership Cleveland Class of 1995 and
a member of the Young President’s Organization.
