W. Pierce Carson

W. PIERCE CARSON was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Azco
Mining Inc. in October 2003 following a consulting assignment for the
company. With a 35-year international career in the mining industry, he
has managed the successful discovery, financing, development and
operation of precious metals, base metals and industrial mineral
properties in the United States, Australia and other countries. From
1981 to 2000, Dr. Carson was employed by Nord Pacific Limited and Nord
Resources Corporation in various capacities, including president and
chief executive officer. Prior to 1981, he managed exploration programs
for Exxon Minerals Company and Kennecott Copper Company. Dr. Carson
holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Princeton University and MS
and PhD Degrees in Economic Geology from Stanford University.
