Thomas J. Kilian

THOMAS J. KILIAN is President and Chief Operating Officer at Conseco
Inc. Mr. Kilian is responsible for all operations of the Conseco
Insurance and Finance groups, in addition to marketing, strategic
planning, human resources and information technology. Mr. Kilian joined
Conseco in 1989 as Senior Vice President of Data Processing. He was
promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer of Conseco Services,
LLC in 1996. In 1998, Mr. Kilian was promoted to Executive Vice
President and Chief Operations Officer of Conseco, Inc., and President
of Conseco Marketing, LLC Prior to joining Conseco, he served as
President of Pioneer Life Insurance Company. He has 25 years of
experience in the insurance and financial services industries, including
the management of field sales, marketing, data processing, operations
and underwriting. Mr. Kilian earned a Bachelor of Science degree from
the University of Notre Dame. He serves on the Board of Directors of the
Indianapolis 500 Festival and the Indiana State University Foundation.
