Thomas A. Wentz

THOMAS A. WENTZ, SR., is President and Chief Executive Officers of
Investors Real Estate Trust (IRET). He has been an officer of IRET since
1970 and now serves as Chief Investment Officer, responsible for
locating and evaluating investment opportunities. Until August 1, 1998,
he was a partner in the Minot law firm of Pringle & Herigstad, PC. He is
graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School, receiving his AB
degree in 1957 and his LLB degree in 1960.
