Theodore E. Charles

THEODORE E. CHARLES, Founder, Chairman of the Board, and Chief Executive
Officer of Investors Capital Holdings, Ltd., has had one of the most
outstanding and diverse professional careers in the fields of insurance
investments, the financial services industry, sales and marketing. Mr.
Charles also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Investors Capital
Corporation and Eastern Point Advisors. Mr. Charles was the former
President of Investors Marketing Services, Inc. Mr. Charles entered the
field of financial services as a life insurance agent with National Life
of Vermont. After leading the company in sales, Mr. Charles resigned to
become the Managing Director of Eastern Capital Securities, an
international investment banking firm based in Boston, Massachusetts,
and London, England. At Eastern Capital he directed the fixed income and
insurance divisions. From there he moved on to Life USA, where he had an
extremely successful career. In 1992, Mr. Charles founded Investors
Capital Corporation. Mr. Charles is a member of professional
associations including The Boston Chapter of the National Association of
Life Underwriters (NALU), the International Association of Financial
Planners (IAFP), the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD)
and the Financial Institutions Insurance Association (FIIA). Mr. Charles
received his Bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York, in
May 1964. He also has graduate hours from the University of Hartford,
Hartford, Connecticut and St. Lawrence University, Canton, New York.
