Steve J. Fitzmaurice

STEVE J. FITZMAURICE is the President, Chief Executive Officer and
Chairman of the Board of Hawk Oil, Inc. He is a registered Professional
Engineer in the Province of Alberta, Canada, with 18 years of diverse
experience in the Canadian oil and gas business. In 1982 he graduated
from Carleton University with a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree
(Mechanical with High Distinction). Prior to Hawk Oil, Mr. Fitzmaurice
was employed by Morgan Hydrocarbons Inc. as Exploitation Manager, where
he was responsible for reservoir engineering, development drilling,
production optimization, and acquisition evaluation. Prior to Morgan he
was employed by Imperial Oil Limited for 12 years, where he worked in
numerous engineering (drilling, operations, reservoir and economics)
positions of increasing responsibility. In his career he has been
responsible for the drilling of over 200 development wells with reserves
additions in excess of 10,000 mboe. His exploitation drilling success
rate exceeds 90%, with finding and development costs under $4/bbl. Mr.
Fitzmaurice is a member of The Association of Professional Engineers,
Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APPEGA). He is married and has
two children.
