Steve Byrne

STEVE BYRNE is Chief Executive Officer of Vestin Mortgage, the
primary operating subsidiary of Vestin Group, Inc. Mr. Byrne also
serves as a Director and Chief Operating Officer of Vestin Group.
In his current position, he is responsible for managing the
company’s $400 million loan portfolio including origination,
servicing and collection. Prior to joining Vestin, he was the
owner of CapSource, Inc., which was purchased by Vestin in 1998.
Prior to that, he was with Wells Fargo and First Interstate Banks
in various positions over a 17-year period. Mr. Byrne spent six
years in Wells’ Gaming Division where he originated over $1.5
billion in syndicated gaming industry credit facilities. He also
held VP and Senior VP positions in the Wells and First Interstate
commercial lending and workout divisions in Las Vegas, Nevada,
and Houston, Texas. Mr. Byrne is a member of NAJOP and the UNLV
Lied Institute of Real Estate Studies Advisory Board. He is also
active in the Las Vegas community including the Chamber of
Commerce’s Leadership and Leadership Youth programs.
