Stephen Thomas

STEPHEN THOMAS is the Chief Executive Officer of Luminar Plc, and has
had 30 years experience in the leisure industry. Luminar was founded in
1989 and floated in 1996 at a market capitalisation of GBP30 million and
32 trading units. Luminar’s current market capitalisation is GBP240
million and now has over 100 trading units. Mr Thomas’s former career
prior to Luminar was the Rank Group Plc and Whitbread Plc. He is also
Non-Executive Director of Saracens Limited, Coffee Republic Plc and
Hartford Group Plc. He has won many industry awards including Retailer’s
Retailer of the Year Award in 1999. Aged 47, Mr Thomas is married and
has two children.
