Sidney W. Emery

Sidney W. Emery, Jr. was elected Chairman of MTS Systems Corporation in
January, 1999 and has been Chief Executive Officer and President since
March, 1998. For the four years previous to that, he served as Area Vice
President at Honeywell, Inc. for Western and Southern Europe. From 1985
to 1993, he held executive and group level positions in Honeywell’s
Industrial Controls and Avionics business. Prior to that he worked at
Bendix Corporation as an Engineer and Manufacturer from 1978 to 1984. He
received a Bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Naval Academy and Master’s
and Doctorate degrees in Industrial Engineering from Stanford
University.
